PPB understands that privacy is important to all the people with whom we deal and we acknowledge and respect the privacy of individuals. We are committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles (NPP's), which are set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) and the Information Protection Principles created by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act PPIPA 1998 (NSW) (the "PPIPA").

Set out here is the PPB policy regarding the personal information we collect about clients, business contacts, and other people we deal with.

PBB collects the personal information we need to provide and market our services to clients or prospective clients. We also collect the contact details of other people we do business with, such as suppliers and government departments or agencies. We use this information only for the business purpose for which it is collected. We do not share this information with any third party.

PPB maintains a contact database in order to manage our dealings with you (e.g. To contact you for the purposes of providing you with insolvency services, or to provide you with information from time to time). Unless you tell us otherwise, we will continue to use the contact information we have about you in this way. Accuracy of information is important to us.

Users should note that there are risks associated with the transmission of information over the Internet. Users should therefore make their own assessment of risks in the provision of information on the PPB Internet site. PPB will provide you with alternative means of providing information and transacting business if you feel uncomfortable with electronic transmission of information. We endeavour to provide a safe means of transacting business in a manner which effects complies with the PPIPA.

Privacy Notification under section 10 of the PPIPA
Information is collected with your consent. Your consent is given when you send information to PPB through its Internet site. We advise that the information that you provide on this site is "personal information" as defined by the Privacy and Personal Information Act 1998 (the "Act").
The purpose for collecting this information varies depending upon your request, but comprises:

  • Assisting us in improving our service to you;
  • Processing your application and/or registration and/or enquiry;
  • Keeping you informed of upcoming events;
  • Updating your records on PPB’s databases;
  • Monitoring and enhancing the provision of PPB’s services;
  • Purposes incidental to each or all of the above.

The intended recipients of the information vary depending upon your request, but include:

  • Partners and principals within PPB;
  • Data service providers engaged by PPB from time to time;
  • Any other body which forms part of PPB;
  • Agencies of the federal and state governments who require the information for administrative purposes;
  • Employer Organisations and/or referees in circumstances when such disclosure is deemed necessary by PPB to further the application;

While the supply of the information by you is voluntary, if you cannot provide or do not wish to provide the information sought, PPB may be unable to meet the purposes for which the information was collected.

If you have already provided information and have since changed your mind and do not want that information used, you may make application for access or amendment, or to instruct PPB that any information is not to be used.

PPB provides rights of access and alteration to personal information held on and about individuals and such rights are governed by the PPIPA and Freedom of Information Act. The information which is collected by PPB will be held by PPB.
