Tony is a member of the Board of Directors of PPB, and practices in the Reconstruction and Recovery Group in PPB’s Sydney office.

Background and significant appointments

Tony has over 25 years experience in Recovery and was the founding Partner of the national firm of SimsPartners that merged with PPB in 2008.
Tony has been involved in a number of large and complex insolvency matters including Enron, Huon Corporation, AGI Group, a number of ASX listed companies, and confidential significant restructures.
Tony has also had significant Board experience and is a current director of ING Investment Management, Baycorp, and a former director of Funds SA, NSW State Superannuation Financial Services and the Adelaide Casino.

Industry experience and specialised expertise

Tony has experience in the areas of financial services, media, manufacturing, professional services, retail, property, and hospitality and leisure.
Tony acts for the majority of leading Australian Financial Institutions and is a member of the Australian Taxation Office panel of official liquidators.
Tony has published articles on a number of Corporate Reconstruction and Insolvency related topics and has presented to numerous groups, including a Panel of Federal and Supreme Court Judges, the Commercial Law Association and numerous banking and Finance clients.
