Scott is the Service Line Head of Statutory Recovery based in PPB’s Sydney office.Background and significant appointmentsScott has over 15 years experience in Insolvency with national firms in New South Wales and earlier in South Australia.
Scott has been trustee of more than 500 bankrupt estates and official liquidator of more than 600 companies. Prior to this he was involved in many large and complex formal and informal insolvencies and experts’ reports.
Some of Scott’s significant corporate appointments include Charterbridge Davey Limited, Enterprise Versace Pty Limited, Body Corporate Services (NSW) Pty Limited, Northern Spirit Football Club (2000) Pty Limited, Bayside Apartments Pty Limited and Houn Corporation Pty Limited. Significant bankruptcies include John Barry Loiterton, John Fakhoury and Frank Monte.
Industry experience and specialised expertiseScott specialises in getting returns for unsecured creditors in unfunded bankruptcies and Court liquidations and has built a significant team of experts in this field. Scott’s clients include major unsecured creditors such as the Australian Taxation Office and Workers Compensation insurers, together with solicitors and debt collectors.
Scott has published articles on insolvency related topics in various publications including the Australian Insolvency Journal, Charter, New Directions in Bankruptcy, Insolvency Law Bulletin and Journal of Banking and Finance Law and Practice; presented papers at various insolvency related seminars and conferences; and authored more than 60 insolvency related client newsletters.
