His work has included the provision of both strategic advice and formal insolvency appointments such as voluntary administration, deed of company arrangement, liquidation, receivership and investigative accountant reports for lenders.

Industry experience and specialised expertise

Nicholas has undertaken investigations, monitorings of operational abilities and consulting assignments for secured lenders in a range of industries, including property construction, transport, import/export, hospitality and manufacturing.
These assignments focus on the company’s profitability, internal controls, management competency, performance, and short, medium and long term viability.
Nicholas has also been retained by directors or their advisors to undertake independent financial performance reviews, assist with cashflow management, debt management, substitution of bank security, identification of surplus/non-core assets, creditor moratoriums and operational issues.
His formal insolvency appointments cover industries as broad as property development, transport and logistics, manufacturing, printing and aviation.  Some of the formal appointments have utilised the voluntary administration process, whereby the company’s viability is addressed and the balance sheet recapitalised by formal debt compromise, equity injections or conversion of debt to equity.
