Chris is a Partner in PPB's New South Wales office.

Background and significant appointments 

Chris has over 14 years experience in a variety of roles, including  eleven years in the insolvency and reconstruction industry.
Aside from his direct insolvency experience gained with Ferrier Hodgson in South Australia and PPB in New South Wales, his experience includes:
  • Two years as a Principal Manager with the National Australia Bank in its Credit Restructuring Unit;
  • Two years working with the South Australian Government on the privatisation of the State’s electricity industry; and
  • One year with Deloitte Corporate Finance.

Chris has been involved in all forms of corporate insolvency, including voluntary administrations, liquidations, receiverships and diagnostic reviews of debt impaired entities.

Industry experience and specialised expertise

In recent times, Chris has played a major role in the following insolvency administrations:

  • Receivership of the assets of the Republic of Nauru, including 3 hotels, a retail shopping centre and Nauru House, a 51 storey office block;
  • Voluntary Administration and Liquidation of the Auto Group of Companies, formerly one of Australia’s largest vehicle auction houses;
  • Receiver and Manager of the Domain Group of Companies, comprising a portfolio of  residential, commercial and development properties;
  • Receiver and Manager of CRI Chatswood, including the recently completed Public Private Partnership development, the Chatswood Transport Interchange; and
  • Co-administrator of the Allco Principals Investments Group, involving 16 special purpose investment vehicles.

Chris has also completed investigations into complex unregistered managed investment schemes on behalf of the Supreme Court of NSW and prepared expert witness reports  for use in litigation, including those associated with the Peridon Retirement Village, The Queen Victoria Project and Sydney Airport Corporation Limited.
